Privacy policy

ARFlookup.com has no accounts, no ads, and no analytics or tracking scripts. We don't sell or share information about visitors. The facility records on this site are the State's public records, not information about you.

• Emails you send us. If you write to [email protected], we get your email address and whatever you include, and use it only to reply and fix what you report.
• Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting and network providers (Render and Cloudflare) keep routine request logs: IP address, browser (user agent), the pages and addresses requested, and the time. They keep these under their own retention policies; we use them only to keep the site running and secure.
• Rate limiting. To stop automated scraping, the server counts requests per IP address in memory for up to 15 minutes. These counts aren't written to disk and are gone after a restart.
• Near Me addresses. An address you type into Near Me (and its as-you-type suggestions) is sent to Google to find its location. The result is saved on our server for up to 30 days, keyed only by the address text, so repeat searches are fast; it isn't linked to you or your IP address. Because the address is part of the search request, it can also appear in the request logs above.

This site sets no cookies of its own. It saves two things in your browser's local storage, which stay on your device and are never sent to us:

• your light or dark theme choice, and
• your "Recently viewed" facilities list.

Clearing your browser's site data removes both. Cloudflare, which protects the site, may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people apart from bots.

• We don't sell, rent, or trade information about visitors.
• No advertising, ad networks, or ad trackers.
• No analytics services or tracking pixels.
• No accounts, sign-ups, or profiles.

When you ask for an AI summary of a facility's reports, the text of the State's saved reports is sent to Anthropic to summarize. Nothing about you is included: no IP address, no browser details, nothing you typed.

• Cloudflare: content delivery and security.
• Render: hosting.
• Google: locating addresses typed into Near Me. "Open in Google Maps" and "Get directions" links on facility pages are plain links; Google only sees them if you click one.
• OpenStreetMap: the Near Me results map loads its map images from OpenStreetMap's servers, which see your IP address like any website you load images from.
• Anthropic: AI summaries of State reports.

Facility locations come from the U.S. Census Bureau's public geocoder, looked up by our server with no visitor information.

We don't track visitors across other websites, so there's nothing for a browser's Do Not Track signal to switch off; the site works the same either way.

ARFlookup.com isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
