About ARFlookup.com
A free, independently run lookup of California's public ARF licensing records.
Who runs it
ARFlookup.com is an independent website. It isn't run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the State of California, the Department of Social Services (CDSS), or its Community Care Licensing Division (CCLD).
It's free to use, and there's nothing to sign up for: no account, no email address, no paywall.
What it covers
Adult Residential Facilities (ARFs) statewide, across all 58 California counties: every facility CCLD lists as licensed, pending, or on probation, with its license status, capacity, licensee, citation totals, complaint outcomes, and its inspection and complaint reports as the state published them.
Our sister site, RCFE.io, covers California RCFEs the same way.
Where the records come from, how often they're refreshed, and what they can't tell you is all on How our data works.
How it's paid for
ARFlookup.com is free and independently run. It doesn't sell data, there are currently no ads, and no facility can pay to be listed, ranked, or to change what its record says. Every record comes from the state.
Corrections and contact
If a facility's record itself is wrong, the correction has to happen at the source: contact CCLD (each facility page lists its licensing office and phone number). Once the state corrects its record, the change appears here after the next refresh.
If something on this site doesn't match the state's record, such as a misread date, a wrong photo, or a broken AI summary, see "Corrections and disputes" on the Terms page.
